History

P&G first produced glycerin in 1858, almost as early as it began producing consumer goods. Since our early days in the 1800s, P&G Chemicals has taken a comprehensive approach to the oleochemicals business that has ensured supply dependability, reliable feedstock sourcing and global capabilities. The timeline below highlights our chemicals expertise, demonstrating how we have continued to innovate and adapt to meet the evolving needs of our customers.
