Transportation and Logistics

P&G Chemicals is constantly seeking to optimize and streamline our material transportation and logistics network. We carefully evaluate opportunities to reduce costs while also delivering measureable improvements in the environmental footprint of our processes by:

• Reviewing and evaluating our transportation network throughout the world, to ensure that we minimize “molecular tourism”, which is the unnecessary back-and-forth transportation of ingredients and materials throughout the development, formulation, and manufacturing process.
• Ensuring the use of “multi-modal” transportation, or multiple forms of transportation, to maximize efficiency, costs, and reduce the environmental burden of resources used during transportation, such as fuel and energy, as well as an overall reduction in CO₂ emissions.
• Leveraging the resources and know-how of our strategic supply chain partners to share transportation resources, reducing redundancies in our collective processes.
