At P&G Chemicals, we know our customers look to us to deliver high-quality, consistent supply resilience AND to find new ways to help them meet their sustainability commitments. That’s why I’m enthusiastic about bringing P&G Chemicals’ bio-based, low carbon solutions to our customers.
Why do I feel this way? Because while I’ve held my role as Senior Director - Americas Regional Manager for P&G Chemicals for the past five months, I’ve immersed myself in this industry for more than two decades. My journey here has deep, 24-year roots within the Procter & Gamble Purchases organization. In fact, in my most recent role, I led the Global Surfactants Purchases team, where I focused on exploring and implementing low carbon solutions that support P&G’s commitment to reducing CO₂ emissions and minimizing our product carbon footprint (PCF). This makes my current role a natural next step – evolving from buying low carbon solutions to serving P&G Chemicals’ customers through our bio-based, low carbon range of products.
Because I’ve experienced it from both sides – as a customer and as a seller – I feel confident that those seeking optimal total value will find our offerings align seamlessly with their business objectives. Our solutions are scalable, and our carbon footprint calculation methodology is certified by TÜV Rheinland, adhering to the ISO 14067 standard and compliant with the Together for Sustainability (TfS) guidelines. Additionally, I know that our responsibly sourced, bio-based products are aligned with the decarbonization goals of many of our customers and can provide customizable options that effectively balance sustainability and affordability.
Throughout my career, I have prioritized learning and relationships. It’s about building business resilience, establishing a comprehensive understanding of the external landscape and bringing the outside in. Strong industry relationships have led to shared knowledge, helping us grow together. I’ve seen firsthand how a partnership-driven approach leads to the creation of best total value solutions. Success, in my experience, comes from integrating innovation, cost effectiveness and sustainability – a combination that has become increasingly vital in today’s business environment.
This belief is ingrained in my work. In my most recent role, I focused on a variety of low carbon solutions, recognizing the importance of conducting thorough cost analysis on an apples-to-apples basis. For example, when comparing options based on cost per metric ton of CO2e reduction, a solution achieving a reduction of 1 metric ton at a premium of $400 per metric ton is less cost effective than another that provides a reduction of 3 metric tons for a premium of $750. The latter translates to $250 per metric ton of CO2e reduction, emphasizing the necessity to analyze costs in relation to environmental benefits.
As I’m sure you can tell, I’m passionate about meeting our customers and sharing P&G Chemicals’ insights and bio-based, low carbon solutions with you. If we have not already connected, please reach out so we can discuss how we can collaborate to meet your business needs. I look forward to productive conversations about how, together, we can act as a catalyst for shared, sustainable business growth for both our businesses.
