Our human compassion binds us the one to the other – not in pity or
patronizingly, but as human beings who have learnt how to turn our common suffering into hope for the future” are words once spoken by Nelson Mandela, the former president of South Africa. Following the recent deeply saddening events in the U.S., these words show that there is still a long way to go in the fight against racism and inequality. The words also resonate with how many industries, countries, people and economies around the world have been unprecedently impacted by the devastating effects of the global coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic as they try to find paths to survival, change and recovery until the worst is in
the past and the future hope comes into vision.
Put into context, oleochemicals are staple ingredients in a wide range of consumer goods, as they are in many industrial and other applications, and deemed essential in the war against COVID-19. Our focus areas are to strengthen the resilience of our supply chains, embrace our culture, gender and identify diversity, and increase the use of technology for improved and simplified virtual connectivity. Improvement in these areas will help ensure that we can better support our customers, service providers and supply partners now and for the future.
Please stay healthy, alert and safe.
